Marks & Spencer has a variety of Christmas desserts and treats available at their food hall, and all of them look very tempting. Puddings, chocolates, tea cakes and more are available during the holidays. I tasted 2 treats from their Christmas products, and they certainly fit the festive theme.
Treat #1: Christmas Milk Chocolate Prosecco Caramels
Price – SGD 4.90
There are beautiful brown milk chocolate hemispheres in the bag that look like chocolate domes, which hides an amazing filling . The chocolate brown shells are smooth and melts in the mouth. Inside the hemispheres is a delightful sparkling golden filling, which oozes out of the dome. The burst of caramel and prosecco flavours in the mouth is simply delicious. Prosecco is a sparkling Italian white wine, and its flavour somehow reminds me of Christmas puddings and cakes with brandy and liqueur.
Treat #2: Christmas Gingerbread Teacakes
Price – SGD 3.90
The packaging and teacakes are very pretty.
There are six tea cakes in the package, and each tea cake has a ginger cookie base and a gingerbread-flavoured marshmallow is placed on top of the base. The base and marshmallow are fully coated in milk chocolate and golden sugar bits are sprinkled on top.
These tea cakes are a favourite for foodies who absolutely enjoy ginger, especially gingerbread. The ginger flavour is strong from the cookie, and the gingerbread flavour from the marshmallow is more subtle than the cookie. The chocolate and sugar bits reduce the ginger’s intensity a bit. I enjoyed tasting this tea cake.
🎄 Both of these Christmas treats are delicious and brings out the holiday spirit with the red packaging and golden elements in the treats (i.e. the sparkling filling and sugar bits 🎇). They are great desserts for Christmas lunches and dinner. Also, they are wonderful Christmas presents for people with a sweet tooth. 🎄
