Following its yearly tradition, Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 Departure Hall in Singapore becomes a themed-holiday experience. For the 2018 holiday season, the space outside the customs area leading to the transit area has been transformed into Hogwarts and Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter. Needless to say, every fan (myself included) were excited to explore the recreated mythical places that we’ve seen in the movies.
While Diagon Alley was a treat for the eyes, the Grand Staircase at Hogwarts was pretty cool too. Additional details are present, such as the banners with emblems from all houses. Unlike the movie, the stairs don’t move and the portraits can’t speak but it was a small taste of what Harry and all the other notable wizards experienced at Hogwarts.
The Fat Lady portrait is the brightest and prominent portrait among all of them, so it looks like the stairs just in front of her lead to Gryffindor Tower. There’s a Christmas tree on the side, so I guess she’s feeling festive too.
