Starbucks – a universal language of love for a cup of coffee, or in my case, icy chilled frappes with soft, fluffy whipped cream to top it off (it’s a treat, so bring out the soft cloud of deliciousness!).
Regardless of the city I’m in, Starbucks has a comfy and familiar vibe that’s recognizable. Starbucks in Singapore is as enjoyable as the ones in Australia. My favorite go-to Macha frappe is available in Singapore too, along with others.
I visited Starbucks with a mission to accomplish – to get my hands on a cup of the Strawberry Cupcake Frappe (Singapore’s latest special frappe), however, I was too late in being a part of the group of patrons who tasted this frappe. The friendly barista said that the special drink’s availability ended just 3 days ago! Nevertheless, I decided to be adventurous and ordered something different from my regular cliché Starbucks palette – the choc chip frappe.
When my frappe arrived, a cup of cool, chocolate-brown frappe with bits of chocolate chips was handed to me. My first impression was that this looks like a chocolatey drink, and I love chocolate so I couldn’t wait to taste it.
After snapping photos of my frappe (as usual), I took my first sip of this chocolatey-looking concoction. I was surprised that the chocolate isn’t as strong as what I’d imagined it to be. To me, it isn’t too bold, nor was it subtle. It was good in my opinion. Plus the chocolate chip bits added the chocolate flavor and I like the chips in the frappe too.
I’m waiting to try a new special frappe from Starbucks. Hopefully it’ll be out soon. In the meantime, I’ll have to settle for juicy strawberries or an actual strawberry cupcake instead 😉
